I can’t wait until I live in a house with white floors. I’ve not yet worked out how this will come about, but I’m 100% sure that white floors are part of my destiny.
As you may know if you’re a regular reader, I’m very drawn to black and white colour schemes (with a little splash of colour). This home in Gothenburg, Sweden is a beautiful example of some of the tricks I like to use in my home: white (or clear) furniture, spindly table legs, neutral staples with colourful accessories, etc. These things help prevent your space from looking cluttered– a great tip when you’re living in a small space.
What I’d really like to highlight about this room are the white walls and floors. Some may find this to be a sterile look, but done correctly it creates an excellent blank canvas, and give the illusion of more space/light. It looks like this flat may have some areas that don’t get a lot of natural light, so the use of white creates a very bright space. This flat could use a few more touches of black in my opinion (a table maybe?), but overall, it’s beautiful, no?
