Grey Icelandic Sheepskin

After some debate about whether or not to get a real sheepskin and what colour I should get, I purchased this one from Lambland.co.uk. It arrived on Friday and I ripped open the package to find my gorgeous-smelling/looking new sheepskin. I think they must wash and comb it before posting because it smells like fresh laundry! That was a nice surprise.

I know I was originally thinking about a white sheepskin, but I thought that might look really plain on an already white chair. Then I was thinking about getting the grey one from Ikea, but the texture just looks a rug— no fluff. I found a nice grey skin on Lambland, but I worried that could look a little one dimensional, being solid grey, so I chose the one you see. It’s Icelandic, and from what I’ve seen, Icelandic sheepskins tend to have longer wool and more streaks of colour. I’m really happy with the choice, and I also would recommend Lambland to you if you’re after a sheepskin. They have lots of colour and size options and delivery was fairly quick (and free).
