Hunting for a Blue-Green Sofa

1 / 2

I’m working with a new client to help her redo her living room and the first place I’m starting is with the sofa. The sofa is arguably the most important piece you’ll select for your living room, and can dictate a lot of other decisions that you make. Whenever I work with someone, I like to ask them to do some pinning of things they like. It’s important to do this because I can get an idea of common themes and start piecing together the beginnings of a look. In looking through pins for this client, I’m able to get a picture of silhouettes and colours that may be of interest to her.

I’m thinking that a bluish-green sofa may be a good fit in this case, so I’ve begun to scope out what’s available out there. It’s surprisingly tricky to find a sofa in the right colour! Some shades come across a bit greyer than others, and this can be a good and a bad thing. A lighter shade is more vibrant and fun, but a darker shade is more neutral and can lend itself to more stylistic change in the future. It really depends on your personality what might be the best fit for you.

Additionally, I’m working to a particular budget. Your options may expand and contrast based on your budget, but I think you’ll find that these are very affordable options for this colour.

Definitely agree that sofas are definitely one of the most important pieces in a living room. Ours was originally my boyfriends parents but they found it too uncomfortable (it is!) but it looks pretty nice so we’re working with it at the moment. Really love the shape of the 3rd sofa up there, colour is lovely too <3
