I’m really pleased to share this shop with you today. Nomadic Citizen is an ethical shop based on fair trade ideas. It was started by Kisha, a blogger I’ve followed for a couple of years, who spent a long time planning and travelling to India and communicating with artisans in Ghana to design the baskets, rugs, and bells in her shop.
The reason I’m so happy to share it with you is that Kisha has been on a long journey finding her way starting a business. It’s a scary and often confusing process, and if you’re doing it alone, it can be hard to stay motivated when you keep hitting walls. Despite all of this, she’s curated a beautiful collection of items that helps support the communities of their makers. Most of the current items are in a monochrome colour palette, which I personally love. She’s based out of Canada, and I’m not sure what her shipping policy is for these items, but I really hope that you’ll go visit her website and see what she’s done. Not only is a purchase from Nomadic Citizen supporting artisans, it supports a small shop owner, and I know it means the world to small shop owners to get that love.
