My Copenhagen Haul

I mentioned that while in Copenhagen I picked up two prints from Playtype and a little paper mache bust from HAY. I just about managed to fit the bust into my luggage, but due to Easyjets ridiculous rules, I couldn’t carry on my posters and had to mail them home.

My beloved prints have arrived along with a frame that I ordered from IKEA, and I can now finally share one of them with you! The other one is an odd size, so I’ll be going back to my friends a eFrame at some point in the New Year to frame it. The blue of the A gives my blue stool a colour friend to play off of, which makes me very happy!

In order to make room for this new addition, I had to move our starburst mirror that was hanging in this spot to our bedroom. It was brass-coloured, and our bedroom is copper, so that means I’ll be sharing my DIY of the mirror with you soon! I got a 50mm lens from my hubby for my birthday, so I look forward to hopefully improving the photo quality a bit on the blog.

We named the bust Alvin. I saw him and needed him straight away, and we went to another HAY shop just to find the smaller version of him. He’s very bright and quirjy– it makes me happy. Tom tried to make him our tree-topper, but I forebode it.

I hope you’re all doing lovely! xx

    Hi Ferren,
Did your moroccan pouf come with a bad smell?
I’ve just bought one, but it’s impossible to keep it inside the house!
    Thank you!

Well, it smelled strongly of leather. I can’t remember if it smelled bad or not, though. It’s been a while. What’s yours smell like?? x

Oh it smells like leather + the animal it came from! I think strong corral smell is a good description!
I’ve read some reviews on the web and while some people say the smell fades with time, other say it seems to get stronger!
I have no other choice than wait and see and maybe try something like activated charcoal.
The poufs are so beautiful but the way they smell now it is impossible to keep them inside :-(
    Thank you again!

Mine don’t smell so much anymore. I think it probably goes away. If your weather is good, maybe you can let it air out outside? It goes away pretty quickly, though. I stuffed mine with newspaper and cloth, so I wonder if that helped absorb some smell? That probably makes no sense lol
